Your Audiometry testing might include:

- Pure-tone testing: Testing hearing across the speech spectrum to establish if your hearing levels fall within normal limits 

- Speech Audiometry: This test will help in determining the degree and type of hearing loss 

Tympanometry and acoustic reflex tests will determine: 

- The condition of your middle ear

What do you mean by “hearing aid technology”?

Hearing Aid technology refers to the advances in hearing aids. Currently, most hearing aids are digital – with a microchip processor. Almost all digital technology in hearing aids incorporate compression (the elevation of soft sounds and the blocking out of loud, extraneous sounds) and microphone directionality (how the hearing aid’s microphones switch to track speech) Other newer technologies include rechargeable hearing aids, Bluetooth connectivity to mobile phones and TVs, own voice processing microchips and remote fitting capability. You have several levels of technology to choose from.
